Massage
M. Peggy Ryan graduated from Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in 1994 She specializes in Shiatsu Therapy/Massage Therapy. Shiatsu means finger pressure and is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. "The essence of this therapy is: In Traditional Chinese Medicine they do not believe in disease. They treat based on the symptoms which manifest in each session. The theory is that the body is the most efficient healer and when in balance will heal itself."
"So when you call to make an appointment, have a list of your concerns and that will help to set up a specific protocol for that particular treatment. Each client can be sent home with a set of pressure points that can be worked in between sessions. Shiatsu is experienced as a release of pressures due to emotional upset and stresses and is felt differently by each individual. Our bodies in balance should feel more centered, be more present in the moment, have a deeper and more healing sleep and wake up feeling refreshed."
"The combination of Shiatsu and Massage Therapy encompasses the emotional and physical body to bring every part of us back into balance and health."
Peggy is also a certified esthetician.
